Joliet Slammers to Host Third Annual Ghostbusters Night This June

Fan-led initiative builds on its early success with a higher fundraising goal and a renewed focus on celebrating the many ways franchises are giving back.

During a recent appearance on Melissa Rivers’ Group Text Podcast, Annie Potts reflected on her role as Janine Melnitz within the Ghostbusters franchise, from the original 1984 film to her return in 2024’s Frozen Empire.

The Edmonton Oil Kings’ Ghostbusters Game returned to Rogers Place this past weekend, with the Alberta Ghostbusters helping deliver photo ops, themed merchandise, and fundraising that brought in over $2,200 for the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Created by fan Luke Ellis, the Ghostbusters Community Trading Cards initiative links franchises and solo busters alike, with charity plans underway and Ghostbusters News proudly joining the lineup.
