Hasbro Delays Ghostbusters Plasma Series Proton Pack 1984 Replica
Weāve got an unfortunate bit of toy news to report, as Hasbro has announced a pair of delays impacting two upcoming Ghostbusters releases, including the highly anticipated Plasma Series Proton Pack 1984 replica.
Originally targeting a March 2026 release, Hasbroās large-scale toy take on the iconic unlicensed nuclear accelerator is now expected to arrive on May 4. The delay was announced earlier this morning in a mass email sent to customers, in which the company apologized for the inconvenience and thanked fans for their patience, citing an unexpected delay.
Also affected is the Kenner Classics The Real Ghostbusters Ecto-Glow Ecto-1, which has likewise been pushed back and is now expected to ship around the same time as the Proton Pack, with a revised release date of May 1.
As of now, these appear to be the only Ghostbusters items impacted. The Plasma Series Rooftop Showdown set, which includes Hasbroās definitive takes on Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Winston Zeddemore, and Egon Spengler, remains scheduled for a March release. Meanwhile, the Kenner Classics The Real Ghostbusters Ecto-Glow Classic Ghosts set is currently listed for early August.
