Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Traps the Top Spot on Hulu
More streaming success to report for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, as the latest theatrical entry in the franchise has quickly shot to the very top of Hulu’s charts following its arrival on the service this week.
This update comes couresy of aggregation site FlixPatrol, the film reached the #1 spot in its first day, quickly outpacing the rest of the chart.
Joining the latest big-screen Ghostbusters adventure within the Top 10 are recent additions Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere and Safe House, in addition to Code 3 and Spider Man, along with Marvel heavyweights Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Spider Man 3. Longstanding chart residents like Superbad also remain in the mix, while additional films hovering just outside the top tier include Remember the Titans, Anyone But You, RED, and the reboot of Troma’s cult hit, The Toxic Avenger.
Released theatrically in March 2024, Frozen Empire grossed more than $200 million worldwide against an estimated $100 million production budget. While it may not rank among the franchise’s largest box office performers, its post theatrical life has continued to prove strong. Most recently, that momentum included a run in Netflix’s United Kingdom Top 10, as well as a holiday surge in the United States after reentering Amazon Prime Video’s Top 10 Movies chart over Thanksgiving weekend.
