More streaming news to report, as Netflix in the UK added Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire this week, and it didn’t take long for the film to climb the platform’s charts.

According to data tracked by FlixPatrol, Frozen Empire not only landed within the Top 10 Movies chart, but trapped the #2 position, placing just behind Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story. The remainder of the Top 10 features a varied lineup, including Who Killed Lin and Megan? The Chillenden Murders, Hot Pursuit, and Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. Also holding strong positions are more family-friendly options such as Madagascar, KPop Demon Hunters, and The Grinch.

Released in March 2024, Frozen Empire earned over $200 million worldwide against an estimated $100 million production budget, and while it may not rank among the franchise’s biggest box office wins, its performance beyond theaters has shown notable staying power. The film saw a similar surge in the United States over Thanksgiving in November, when it reentered Amazon Prime Video’s Top 10 Movies chart.
