“Colin Wright is being nominated for the Community Spotlight in recognition of the kindness, support, and genuine care he showed to others within our community. From our very first outing at Port Solent in 2023 through to 2024, Colin was there - present, encouraging, and quietly supportive.
Beyond events, Colin stayed in touch during some difficult personal times, always offering words of encouragement and understanding when they were most needed. He never sought attention or recognition, but his impact was deeply felt by those around him. Colin embodied the true spirit of community - showing up, looking out for others, and making people feel valued.
This nomination is a small way of saying thank you and ensuring his contribution and memory are honoured.”

Colin Wright sadly died this year in late December 2025, but was a valued and much-loved member of the community, known for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering support of others. He took part in community events with enthusiasm and pride, forming genuine connections with those around him and leaving a lasting impression wherever he went.
Colin was someone people could rely on - approachable, kind-hearted, and always willing to lend support during both the good times and the hard ones. His presence made a difference, and his legacy lives on through the memories and friendships he helped create.
